What I would like to have done in my life – At 13, West Point Cadets on Choir Tour staid several days at our home arranged by our neighbor, the most prominent attorney in the state and his friend, the Governor. What I would have enjoyed doing is trying to heal the hurt from the sixties in our country. In my school drug use in the late 70s was higher than 25% of the kids had tried it. I didn’t like that. People that I had met as a kid took the side that kids in the 70s should not be arrested for possession or use. I agreed with that. That it was the responsibility of the government to focus on keeping drugs from the kids instead of arresting the kids. Protection instead of enforcement. And I would have taken the idea with my IQ being very high, to go into linguistics inspired by Pope Paul the VIs’ Youth Movement and tried to help as a volunteer hosted while traveling for my father like the Cadets were at our home when I was a kid and help facilitate bringing Jazz Ensemble and Soccer and other extracurricular activities into the country to give kids something to do while others enforced and controlled access to drugs. It’s that simple and what I looked into was involving the Caravan, the NY and Chrysler Bailout and much more. If I did anything it would have been just that. To go into linguistics to become an advisor on how to get things to successfully work.
