The Sound of a Coil

is a snake in a broken tree limb. Dinner at seven o’ Clock and the evening is

still with us wrapped in daylight. The sound of the wind is waiting. The

sound of the bugs across the pond. I have only mentioned once or twice,

what I was looking for… a day a little longer than twenty four hours and an

evening that brings more than tomorrow. A slingshot… for a few hours.

What are these but tomorrow. Oh, how you wish you were here.

A deceptive mind full of bags of tricks all for showing off and making fun,

even at 64. Silence is a broken tree limb and wondering down the lane. We

have a tent that suspends in the air away between trees. We have a taste

for fish cause they are free and Wednesday night meals at Church. And a

cloak of darkness and the Y and Tae Kwon Do. The tent goes up high into

the darkness. And my candle.
