Fifteen Minutes

A flower. A glass. And Andy Warhol.

And Carrol. I was a child and she was a child.

There is and always was. A little too much dust on that one.

Try something more visual… I always wanted to meet Eddie.

But the older kids wouldn’t let me hang out with them to

wait for him to see if he would come out.

I was thirteen and he was fifteen. The memory I have of Eddie

is about the only memory of the past I have.

He finally came over to my house to visit.

I thought he was cool. And that if he paid attention to me,

that I was cool. He came over to visit because they were moving.

We sat on the desk in our game room and talked.

When they moved he stole a car in Little Rock and ran away.
