Cat and Mouse

My cousin had a Mouse Trap game.

And Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots.

My IQ was far over 156 and still is and I attended

an accelerated school classroom.

I had the best plastic surgeon in the state

flown in from Seattle that night.

My face is a blessing and so is he.

In Elementary School they brought in, in the Sixties,

High School students to teach us French and other languages.

It was designed to counter the hit I had to the left Cortex.

Jesse gave me his son’s guitar, I had a piano, and a Trumpet.

And a Speech Pathologist and Audiologist.

And lies.

Two years ago I found out that I spoke French and other languages.

I thought I had lived a certain life.

Now I am finding that the child in me wants me to remember learning,

cause it meant something to him.

Cat and Mouse.
