Two reasons to live. Pain and emptiness.
Depression swallows seconds like an event horizon.
Or is that the Corvette?
Swordfish and, God, I remember. And thank you, God.
For a blue, Z06.
The emptiness of a highway like a thin sixties tie winding
its way past, just past on its way to the ocean and back again.
Two reasons to live. Pain and emptiness.
I have to work on my repertoire.
My solitary ocean that carries the weight of the sea upon my shoulders.
I have found in my life two reason to live. One is Buzzie and one is me.
Sometimes I forget. And the emptiness sets in.
I lost my childhood friend somewhere in the past.
I am renegotiating my seconds.
As I watch them into blackness as they
disappear into whispers. I hear them as they
tame into the blackness. As they become the blackness.
Selfishness is the soul one breathe at a time.
And then I remember and time becomes accepted,
permissible.
